Jess is a wife and a Mom to a cute, sassy red-headed girl! She blogs over at Positively Oakes and has blogged since 2010. She had a goal of opening up a women’s clothing shop for years and finally made that goal a reality when decided she had, had enough dreaming and was ready to put it into action! She wanted her focus to be on Moms. Moms don’t get to spoil themselves enough and this was the perfect opportunity to not only allow us Mamas to do just that, but to do so with the right pieces.
ThelmaDean was created on the sole purposes of realism. Real clothes that are functional, cute, stylish and practical for the modern Mom. Meaning they’re comfortable, you can pick up your babe in them, they’re flattering, they’re nursing friendly and the list goes on and on. Jess picks each piece with her Mom life in mind. She doesn’t put anything in the shop that she wouldn’t wear personally and she hand picks each one to make sure that they are on point for the modern mom in style and functionality.
The name ThelmaDean comes from two inspirational people in her life. Her Grandma, Thelma and her Uncle, Dean. Both helped raise her and played such a vital part in her life, making and shaping her to be the person she is today.
When Jess isn’t in Mom mode or working (which is rare) she loves to be outdoors or snuggled up with a good movie. Her baby girl and husband are her world and always come first. This entire company is focused and based around family and she hopes that shows through each piece.
